This rare Dalmanitid was found in Arkona, Ontario. Usually the shale is weathered and the trilobites lack shell. This specimen came from a solid chunk of shale that protected the bug from damage. Note the damage on the cephalon that was cause by tiny fragments of marcusite that oxidized and corroded the adjacent shell. |
