The Behrendt Collection - some fine fossils, prepped by Marc
(Just for looking, not for selling)
| Specimen: |
Phacops rana crassituberculata |
| Location: |
Sylvania, Ohio |
| Period: |
Devonian |
Phacops are relatively common in northerwestern Ohio,
though really fine complete specimens are tough to find. This
specimen exhibits the pustular exoskeleton, as well as the incredible
eye facets. If only we could find a way to see what it saw, through
those eye lenses.... |
