Featured is a Silurian Crinoid Root System from the famous Waldron Shale
in St. Paul, Indiana. The roots extend 60 mm and continue into the
matrix. Associated on the matrix are a Maurotarion christyi trilobite
cephalon, and tiny bits of crinoid stems.
Most public Waldron Shale sites have been closed to collecting.
This specimen was obtained from an old collection and reprepared
professionally by Marc Behrendt. There is no restoration on this
uncommonly fine trilobite specimen!
