Featured is a beautiful cystoid in place on matrix, collected from the
famous Osgood Formation in Napoleon, Indiana. The front side is
fabulously preserved. The back side of the specimen has little
shell preserved, probably the side that was exposed as the specimen laid
at the bottom of the ocean before fossilization. The specimen is
not 3D.
The specimen was professionally prepared by Marc Behrendt.
There is absolutely no restoration on the specimen or matrix.
