Featured is a Silurian Trilobite Calymene breviceps from the
famous Waldron Shale in St. Paul, Indiana. This is a fascinating
piece. There are two trilobites enrolled into each other. One is
complete with the right free cheek easily visible, the left cheek
cannot be seen and may or may not be present. The second specimen
does not possess the cephalon.
Calymene from the Waldron are becoming harder to find, and most
public sites have been closed to collecting.
This specimen was obtained from an old collection and then
professionally reprepared by Marc Behrendt, and has no restoration
to the bug or matrix.
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
