This is a pretty multiple of uncommon
trilobites from the Lower Cambrian. The Olenellus gilberti is complete,
the cephalon slightly separated from the thorax, otherwise, fully
complete, including the long pygidial spine.
The Paedeumus does not have as much definition, but
the large cephalic shield is obvious, along with the thorax. The
pygidium is not evident.
Also on the matrix are a large 45 mm width Olenellus
cephalon, and other smaller pieces parts. This is a very fine specimen
of 2 hard to find species.
The specimens were collected many years ago, and were professionally
prepared by Marc Behrendt and have no restoration to the bugs or matrix.
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
