Featured is an Ampyxina from Missouri. Once commonly found, the
collecting locality yields very few specimens any more. This specimen
is typical of the species, with little or no shell. The long wispy
genal spines are rarely preserved, and are not present on this
specimen. This is a very fine example of the species.
This specimen was obtained from an old collection and
reprepared professionally by Marc Behrendt. Neither bug nor matrix have
any restoration. This is a pretty and uncommon trilobite!
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
