Featured is a
fantastic, very rare Pennsylvanian trilobite, Ditomopyge olsoni.
The trilobite is nearly complete, but has a couple flaws. Both eyes are
missing. Both free cheeks are present, however the left genal spine is
broken away, and the right is slightly askew. Shell is present on the
perimeter of the trilobite, however shell is missing from the glabella
and thoracic axial lobes. From casual observation, the specimen appears
to be very nice.
Partials of this species are rare, complete specimens
are extremely rare!
This specimen was professionally prepared by Marc
Behrendt and has no restoration to the bug or matrix.
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
