This is a very pretty
Calymene breviceps! The color is a rich caramel brown, contrasting
with the light grey shale matrix. The cheeks are both tightly in
place. The thorax shows very slight separation, and the pygidium is
slightly askew. This is a fantastic specimen!
Complete prone C. breviceps are tough to find, and this
one is quite excellent!
This specimen was professionally prepared by Marc
Behrendt and has no restoration to the bug or matrix.
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
