NA3-15 dito decurtata z29 |
Measurement:
15 mm diameter and 11 mm width
. This Permian specimen is enrolled and still partially covered in
matrix. The pygidium is complete, the cephalon exhibits a very fine left
eye and a large globose glabella. The right side of the cephalon is
missing some shell. Permian trilobites are quite uncommon, and
represent the last of a class of animals that were going extinct.
Complete D. decurtata are very difficult to find. This specimen is a
nice and typical representative of the species.
This specimen was obtained from an old collection. There appears to be
no restoration to the bug.
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
