unprepped-6-arctinurus |
This is a rare opportunity to
obtain an unprepared Arctinurus from the Rochester Shale.
Preparation had just started at the front of the cephalon and then
stopped. The left side is obviously present. The right side dips
down into the matrix. The 3rd photo is of the back, showing the
edge of the thorax reaching the back.
Included are 4 portions of the negative. The 4th
photo is of the front edge, and the final photo is of the pygidium.
This is an opportunity to pick
up an unprepped fossil from a famous locality! Unprepared material is
typically unpredictable, thus I cannot guarantee how these specimens
will turn out. The shale is soft and easy to work,
however the trilobite is also very soft, so low air pressure and soft
dolomite3 are a must to prepare this speicmen. Or have it as
is, a valuable addition to your collection.
